MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING OF OREGON WASHINGTON COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGERS (OWCAM) HELD ON APRIL 15, 2008, IN THE OFFICES OF CMI, 2105 SE 9th, PORTLAND, OR.

 

PRESENT:

David Hummel, Vice President

Lisa Campbell, Secretary

Leanne Sasser, Treasurer

Julia Neufeld, Executive Administrator

 

ABSENT:

Steve Brodehl, President

Steve Barber, Director

 

I.            CALL TO ORDER

David Hummel called the meeting to order at 8:40 AM.

 

II.          COMMITTEE REPORTS

1. Programs

Leanne requested that there be a Washington Legislative update during the Committee organization meeting. Postponed for discussion at next Board meeting.

 

2. Education & Certification

David asked that the Board be ready to discuss the draft of the educational document at the next Board meeting.

 

III.         ANNUAL MEETING

Discussion ensued regarding details of the Annual meeting. Board Liaisons are to arrange for a report from each committee. Details of the agenda were discussed. Lisa will send Julia copies of the previous notice.

 

IV.         OWCAM – Opening dialog with the State

A discussion ensued that OWCAM is not ready to talk with the state until the education and self regulating processes are developed and in place first.

 

V.           OTHER BUSINESS

Julia reported on the following items.

 

• Vial Fotheringham to moving forward with the 501C filing.
• Sponsors are set for August meeting.

 

VI.         NEXT MEETING DATE

Julia will send an email out to the Board to confirm the next meeting date.

 

VII.       ADJOURNMENT

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:30 A.M.
